Back In The Game, Baby!

I'm happy to report a serious uptick in the work department over the past two weeks, which partly accounts for the lack of activity in this little corner of cyberspace. Last week, there was an editorial assignment for east coast based magazine Woodshop News. The assignment was to shoot images for the cover story of a future issue featuring Maui woodworker/artist Tom Calhoun.Tom is a master furniture maker & highly skilled craftsman. Three days of food & beverage photography for one of Maui's large south shore resorts followed and then a trip to the Big Island for a day & night of food, architecture and portraiture for the newly remodeled and re-opened Mauna Kea Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast. What a fabulous hotel! Returning from that assignment mid-afternoon on saturday, there was barely time to unload the gear before heading off the an arts organization's annual benefit fundraising event in Makawao for images of the local gentry to fill the society pages of the newly launched On Maui! Magazine.
